About 35 km from Bogotá (45 minutes to an hour), Sopó combines the region's dairy and food traditions with exceptional natural surroundings: near the Tominé reservoir and ringed by the mountains of Sabana Centro. It's a common choice for weddings and country events of every size.
Many estates in Sopó have extensive gardens, mature groves and, in some cases, views of the reservoir, which expands the photographic possibilities beyond the traditional Sabana garden: water, mountains and countryside in one place.
Knowing Sopó's estates in advance helps plan the flow of the day (where to hold the ceremony, where to do the couple's portraits with the water or mountains) and anticipate the weather, which in this area can be more changeable than in the rest of the Sabana.
